Composition: Each tablet contains: echinacea purpurea herba dry concentrate 5.89 mg, echinacea purpurea radix dry concentrate 0.31 mg. Equivalent to echinacea Purpurea herba fresh herb tincture 380 mg and echinacea purpurea radix fresh root tincture 20 mg. (herbal and root extracts of purple cone flower.) Pharmacological classification: A.34 other (Western herbal). Pharmacological action: Echinaforce has a modulating effect on the immune response. The alkylamides are the active components in Echinaforce. They bind specifically to the CB2receptor, an endo-cannabinoid receptor. Through this linkage, activation of the gene for tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-alpha) takes place. The reaction to pathogens with Echinaforce results in a modulated release of TNF-alpha and acts to produce long-lasting response of the immune system.
